A new obsession for me is Instagram. Although I haven’t been a very active user in
the past, I’ve been posting more and more pictures lately, and have been really
into using apps on my phone to add filters and other things to them to make
them look ‘cool.’ A lot of people on
YouTube make entire videos on how they edit their pictures, or ‘What’s on my
Phone,’ so I thought I’d make a blog post specifically on how I edit my pics.
In no particular order, here is a list of the 7 applications
that I use on my phone (all FREE) in order to get creative-looking pictures.
Instagram: While
the actual app itself doesn’t allow for much of the editing that I like to do
personally, I do like some of the filters it offers for pictures, particularly
Hudson and Valencia.
Photo Grid: This
is an app to create a photo collage.
It’s not my absolute favorite, but it does work. It also has some other editing options for
pictures as well.
PhotoWonder: I
like this app for the ‘beautify’ section where you can adjust red eye and
things like that. This app also has some
nice effects filters for the photo.
Pixlr-o-matic: This
is definitely one of my most used apps.
It allows you to crop your picture to ‘square’ size, or Instagram size,
provides you with tons of filters, gives you tons of great effects, and gives you
photo frames. My favorite part of it is
the cropping ability and the photo filters.
PhotoFrame: This
is another app that creates photo collages, but this app has much more options
that the one previously mentioned. It
has options for 1-9 photos, which I love about it. I’m not someone who constantly posts photo
collages, but when I have made them, this app definitely produces the better
ones for me.
Mirror Photo: This
app is pretty basic. You pick your
photo, you crop it, and then you pick which way you want it mirrored.
BokehPic: My other favorite photo editing app of the
bunch, this app is just incredible when it comes to providing effects for
pictures. It has numerous categories of
designs and tons of designs within those categories. Then, you have the ability to move the
placement of the design with your fingertip so that it isn’t covering your face
or something along those lines. The app
literally enables you to personalize the photo to your liking. If you’re looking for one app to do it all, I
highly recommend this one!
So there you have it!
That is how I edit my Instagram pictures! If you have any awesome apps that I should
check out or must have, let me know in the comments below. I’ve become something of an app junkie lately
and would love checking out new things!
Until next time,
Allison
