Movie Review: Pitch Perfect

If you haven’t seen this movie, then you’re missing out on one of the best movies of 2012.  There, I said it.  Since I got the dvd last week, I’ve watched this movie 7 times.  I can’t help it!  I’m addicted.  Not only does it have super catchy songs, but hilarious one-liners, and absolutely beautiful on the inside and out actors.

I honestly don’t even know how to begin talking about this movie other than the fact that it’s brilliant.  From Anna Kendrick’s performance of Cups (which I continue to attempt to do… and fail) to the Riff Off (my favorite scene) the movie is jam-packed with musical entertainment that will keep you entertained the entire length of the film.

The film, which is about collegiate a capella groups, centers around the Barden Bellas, a group hoping to compete in the national finals at Lincoln Center in NYC after an embarrassing episode at last year’s competition.  But with the newbies in the group (including Kendrick) their prospects of getting there looks pretty bleak.  Add a gorgeous boy from a rival singing group to the mix, some toners (a musical boner, of course), and you’ve got yourself one hell of a movie!
