What’s On My Cell Phone: Part 1

Hey Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous day!  For those of you that are unaware, a fairly popular technology related video on YouTube is the ‘what’s on my phone’ video.  I’ve been interested in creating my own video for quite awhile, but after much consideration, decided to turn the content into my own little blog series.

So let’s start with the basics.  I have the LG Lucid 2 smartphone, and yes, it actually is my very first smartphone.  I’m saying that so you know that I don’t have much to go on as far as apps and experience goes, so if you have suggestions or advice for me, please feel free to let me know in the comments below!  My case is a pink and black case that I got on Amazon from the brand Trident.  The make amazing quality cases.  I highly recommend Trident or the brand Speck for electronics cases.

My phone itself has everything organized in folders on two pages.  I like it this way because it’s easier to find things as opposed to searching through multiple pages with single apps on them.  I’m all about organization and having things be in place when it comes to my phone.

The folders that I have on my phone are: Organization, Games, Photography, Music/Movies, Social, Health, Other, Shopping, and Tools.  I also have three things loose.  They are the app for Google Chrome, the Play Store, and the phone’s Help button.

I also have three widgets.  On the first page I have a long horizontal bar for the weather, which shows the time, and the weather for that day and the next two days.  I also have a vertical Google Calendar widget that shows my calendar for the following week.  On page two, I have my ‘favorite contacts’ which shows contacts that I have marked as ‘favorites’ and a picture associated with them (typically pulled from Facebook, if contacts are synced to it).

On the bottom of my screen, I have the five pre-set apps that came on the phone that I did not alter, though you can.  They are (from left to right), Phone, Contacts, Camera, Messaging, and Apps.

So that’s it for today’s post!  I hope you all are interested in hearing more about the apps on my phone and the way everything is organized and set up!  And again, please let me know of any great apps you have, or any suggestions that you have on how to get the most out of my very first smartphone!

Happy Reading,

Allison
